I have had the Cascade Falls sweater pattern in the works for, um lets see, many months now. Not because I have put it down and ignored it, but because I have had to re-do this puppy three times. In the previous two times I had gotten pretty dern far too. I will say that on my third go I noticed that in previous attempts I had made mistakes in the pattern and am happy that I have corrected them in round trois.
Oddly enough I haven’t shed any tears over the re-dos, this pattern is quite fun to knit, the cables break up the stockinette stitch to make it worth re-attempting. This pattern is also a bit of an experiment in the yarn department. I am using Caron Simply Soft, 100% acrylic in the bone colour way. I wanted to see how the acrylic yarn wears and also I think I paid just under $30 for 5 skeins.
