FO: Latissa

Its been a while, but not for a lack of knitting. My summer/fall knitting time was spent working on a couple of hats for my mother-in-law. I was so sure these were going to knit up quickly, but that wasn’t true for either item.

This slouchy hat pattern is called Latissa, it uses a bulky yarn, hence my thinking it would be quick. Ultimately I found the P3tog to be a bit tricky with the bulky yarn and it slowed me down. Regardless, I am very happy with the way it turned out. This one went to my mother-in-law, but I am so pleased with the results I am going to make one for myself.

Yarn: Lion Brand’s Unique in Jewel colourway

I used Lion Brand’s Unique yarn in the Jewel colour way. Its a 100% acrylic yarn, and so so pretty.

The other hat I knit up was Oopsie Daisy Diagonal Hat, also knitt for my mother-in-law. I used a slightly thicker yarn for this hat than the pattern called for, so I reduced the cast on stitches, but it still turned out a little too big. Unfortunately, I just have one en process and slightly blurry pic to share. I wish I had taken one with it atop my head before gifting it :(
